Gil Gelpi (born 1985 in Lisbon) is a sculptor and conceptual artist who lives between Sintra and Barcelona. Influenced by philosophers such as Deleuze, Guattari, and Spinoza, he views the human body—and everything else—as a “substance in constant becoming.” His sculptural work employs a “rhizomatic logic,” creating forms that grow intuitively like living organisms, where inside and outside merge in a continuous flow of energy, emotion, and memory.
