The Artists

Marco Casalvieri

BIOGRAPHY

Marco Casalvieri (b. 1993) is an artist based in Rome. Through painting—particularly portraiture and the human figure—he explores the emotional depths of the human experience, focusing on themes such as solitude, loss, and the need for connection. His works, rooted in realism, open up spaces of intimacy and vulnerability, inviting the viewer into a silent yet profound confrontation with themselves and with others.

A self-taught artist, he found one of his first decisive influences in Phil Hale, whose work echoed Velázquez—and through him, Titian. These references sparked a passionate study of figurative painting, which over time developed into a personal and autonomous visual language.

He has exhibited in numerous group shows and international exhibitions, including the Royal Institute of Oil Painters exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London and the Reial Cercle Artístic in Barcelona. His solo show Through the Exit Door also marks a significant step in his journey, bearing witness to a mature and ever-evolving artistic vision.
